Wyraz "względem" nie pasuje do sensu zdania. W zdaniu chodzi o umieszczenie terminalu w takim miejscu, w którym przeważają wiatry wywiewające zanieczyszczenia nad morze, nie nad ląd. Na tym polega idea róży wiatrów. Ja bym napisał "położenie wybrane/ustalone na podstawie róży wiatrów".

Według róży wiatrów (czyli wykresu trwania i prędkości wiatrów) na terenie gminy Świerklany w ciągu roku około 60% stanowią wiatry z kierunków południowych i zachodnich, w tym blisko 20% z kierunku południowo-zachodniego, czyli od strony Bramy Morawskiej.

RUNWAY ORIENTATION

The wind rose method is a graphical procedure used to orient a runway based on prevailing wind data. This data is often available from the NOAA National Climatic Data Center in Asheville, North Carolina. The data compiled includes velocity, direction and frequency of occurrence. From this it is possible to predict the percentage of time wind velocities within a certain range and from a given direction can be expected. These values are then plotted on a "wind rose". On the wind rose, the circles represent wind velocity (mph) and the radial lines indicate the direction of the wind. The darkened area is a transparent template which is representative of the runway (middle line) and the maximum allowable component of crosswind.

The optimum runway orientation will be figured by rotating the template until the sum of the percentages between the outside lines are maximized. This sum indicates the percentage of time the orientation will conform with crosswind requirements.

disagree  Polangmar: Tu chodzi o OPIS istniejącego miejsca, a nie wyznaczanie terenu przyszłej inwestycji (jakąś-tam metodą). "Powyższe lokalizacje, jako jedyne spełniały wymóg przyjmowania dużych statków (powyżej 140.000 m3 LNG)."

  -> Jasne, że to jest OPIS istniejącej inwestycji, której lokalizacja została wyznaczona metodą róży wiatrów - a nie jakąś-tam metodą ;-). Na podstawie którego fragmentu mojej odpowiedzi uważasz, że chodzi o projekt inwestycji?
