one joint

English translation: as a unit

English term or phrase: one joint
In the liquid crystal and PC board industries, it is necessary that a work, i.e., a glass substrate or a PC board, be stuck to and fixed with high precision (without deformation) in each step of the process. Now, liquid crystal work in size up to the eighth generation can be produced in one joint and an FPD glass substrate, etc., can be stuck precisely and carried in a lifted state in this company.

Is ?gone joint?h is OK in this case?
Thank you in advance,

Selected answer:as a unit
Explanation:
I agree with Tony that this source text is extremely poor, non-native English.

Reading through the incoherence, it seems to be saying that liquid crystal devices can be manufactured with up to eight devices, as a unit (i.e. several devices 'joined' together), in a single (joint) operation on a single FPD glass substrate.

This gives an idea of the size of the batch of joined devces that has to be 'stuck to and fixed' with high precision.

'stuck to' probably means 'picked up' (by a robot arm or something similar, maybe with a vacuum sucker system); 'fixed' means ... well... 'fixed'.

disagree  Tony M: This has nothing to do with the present context; 'jointly' certainly couldn't be right.

Explanation:
I'm afraid the EN is so flawed overall, it's hard to tell for sure.

First off, I'm not sure if 'joint' is really the right word; it might otherwise be 'join', 'seal', or possibly something else again.

Secondly, it all depends what you mean 'with one' — if you mean it can be done with one, there is no need for two or more, then it would bee clearer here if you said 'a single' instead.

The overall quality of the EN in the text as given is clearly not of native-speaker standard, and it is very important that this should be corrected, if this text is intended for professional purposes.
