В первом предложении power of attorney и mandate являются разными вещами.

а может "on account of" здесь вообще как союзное словосочетание, типа "in regards to" т.к. мне кажется, иначе был бы артикль: on the account of payment?

На счет "мандата" полной уверенности нет. Возможно, имеется в виду сама доверенность, т.к. далее авторы проговариваются "... all disputes arising from .. this mandate. В другом аналогичном документе (тоже швейцарского производства http://www.anwaltskanzlei-schwarz.ch/en/page23/page32/assets... концовка проблемного предложения несколько иная - by way of payment. Т.е. The client affirms that he/she has assigned his/her claim to any court-awarded compensation for expenses to the holder of the mandate by way of payment.

Думаю, что должно было быть mandate FOR account of payment. Похоже, что текст составлен славянами ("мандат НА счет" перевели как "ON account"). В гугле всего 3 ссылки (две из них ваших). Погуглите "mandate FOR account". Будет другая картина.
