Hello: can anyone tell me if the term sicca syndrome is commonly used in English - or is it usually called Sjögren's syndrome? - and are the two terms interchangeable?

In my doc. it is listed under Diagnosticos at the start of a Discharge report, although the condition and symptoms don't seem to be referred to elsewhere.

Yes, "sicca syndrome" is used in English, but it's usually considered synonymous with Sjögren's.
More appropriately, however, some authors consider "sicca syndrome" to be the constellation of dryness symptoms associated with Sjögren's, not Sjögren's itself. See e.g. http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/809290-overview
