For the record: a Lady of the Chamber, a Kammerjungfrau comparable to a Kammerjunker, is a bit different from a chambermaid! The latter, for example, might be expected to make the bed and scrub out the chamberpot, whereas a Lady of the Chamber is a fancy court term for Lady's Maid or Lady in Waiting - the highest type of attendant, including in social station.

By the way, while looking up your Кухонный корпус, I see that the Oxford Companion to the Garden calls this component the "Ladies-in-waiting Pavilion."

neutral  Rachel Douglas: In English, a "lady's maid" and a "chambermaid" are about as far apart in rank as you could get.

Explanation:

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks a lot for your answer! It was the "fancy court term" that I was after. I felt bad about translating "Kammerjungfrau" as "chambermaid" :)
