Encontre en los glosarios de PROZ la traducción de este termino como "karyology" pero revisando en google no creo que "karyology" este relacionado "cariologia".

En mi documento cariologia se refiere a la disciplina científica dentro de la odontología que trata acerca de las interrelaciones complejas entre los fluidos orales y los depósitos bacterianos y su relación con los cambios subsecuentes en los tejidos duros dentales que provocan la caries dental

Mientras que "karyology" se refiere a algo mas general como el estudio de las celulas.

Mi pregunta es: "karyology" es una traducción válida en este caso para "cariologia"
