It would be nice to know what precisely the схемы are, before deciding if they represent a "framework," "patterns," or maybe "formulas." Also, if we knew what the antecedent of "подобных" was, it would be easier to tell if "of this type" or "such" or "this kind of" would work better.

That's strange, about the previous paragraph being irrelevant, because you'd think "подобных" must refer to something.

While I generally dislike "schemes," as being overused, it might be right in this context, now that you mention "interpretive schemes." In Google books, you can find nearly 7000 sociology and poli sci books containing "interpretive schemes," including one on Sovietology:
"Not only are the 'factual' products of Soviet research assimilated into Western discourse, but Soviet interpretive schemes have also played an important role in the formation of the conceptual outlook of Western scholarship."
