To me it can't be anything else than a workshop where you learn to use a camera/make films etc. The singular form is right because it is a discipline (like le théâtre, la danse, la vidéo, la photo...)

If the client cannot provide more information, then it should be left as "video" – IMO, that is.

Actually, from dictionary references and reading, I already thought this had to be film production. But I was just concerned that video in the singular might also refer to 'gaming' or 'music clips' without me being aware of it. No one seems to be able to confirm that is the case. I don't make a living out of 'guessing' but do like to cover all the bases. And obviously, I will translate it as I actually believe it should be translated and include a note to the client.

I really think you will have the most success if you ask the client what this involves. You aren't really free to make a personal decision. Or you could just chicken out and leave it as video....... ;-)

I certainly didn't intend to start a guessing game. I thought it might be common usage that I was unaware of. Admittedly, there isn't much context but I preferred to check first given the long list of points I already have to submit to the client. There is no other context or reference to it, otherwise I would have included it as I normally do.

And if there isn't, doesn't it make more sense to ask the client instead of enduring this guess-o-rama of possible solutions? I mean, either leave it as video or find out exactly what it is. A bit of accuracy is always a good thing in a descriptive brochure, I'd have thought.
