English term or phrase: snubber lead
Still from a manual for a yacht - specifically Anchoring during Stormy Weather:

"We strongly recommend the use of a nylon **snubber lead** from the chain for all chain system through the bow chocks to the mooring cleats"

I imagine that "snubber" can stay in English but am not sure if the lead is some type of "cavetto" or something else.

Thanks for you help!
