French term or phrase: tout un programme
It's about the Pantera racing car, launched 40 years ago (I know this term has appeared already but I am not sure that any of the suggestions fits).

takes some beating
Explanation:
I believe this is what we'd say in English. Works very well with all great cars, but particularly racing ones, where it can be meant literally as well as in terms of beauty, quality, comfort etc

As the car is being likened to an Italian woman (even though it isn't, people expect this type of car to be Italian), you could do worse than to call it "the Numero Uno"

You'll notice I don't subscribe to the "she" nonsense for cars, ships or anything else that isn't female. When are we ever going to shrug off these vestiges of a long-gone past? :-) On the other hand, this text probably does call for it.

'all-in-one style'

Explanation:
Since the earlier sentences describe the aesthetics of the Pantera, propose 'style' in place of program.

it outdistances the pack

Explanation:
"Outdistances" in the sense of a car's movement, well ahead of the rest when it comes to whatever one is talking about.
