Portuguese term or phrase: Fitofisonomia
This term is used on various occasions throughout a text about the area surrounding a site for the proposed implementation of an industrial plant. I can't seem to find an English equivalent online. Does one exist or is there another way of saying it? Thanks for your help!

phytophisionomy

Explanation:
This looks like a possible candidate (maybe). 40 Google hits for the term, which seems few... If it's wrong, at least you have company!

"The habitats were differentiated according to the phytophisionomy, the availability of animal shelter, the type of the submerse plant structures and the distance of the Cuiab River."
