Clarification needed 18:37 Dec 5, 2011
I think I read your question with care. I am trying to help. You wrote: "私の理解ではこれが payment reversal と言う言葉に相当すると考えます。" What I was trying to say is that your understanding may not be correct, because "チャージした額を支払わず、あなたの支払いを処理しない" the case, that is usually called payment declined, not "reversed". This is not to criticize you, but to make sure we all understand the context. To that effect, would it be possible for you to post the original English context? The question is posted as English to Japanese, and I believe the first step is to make sure we understand the source text correctly. This is not about nitty-gritty of legality, but the definition of the asked term. I am not sure what you mean by "In the document I am translating, "charge back" is mentioned side by side. For this I used this word. " Side by side with what? For this I used this word - what are these two "this"-es referring to? Again, providing the English source text may clarify things.
