English translation: It's wrong

English term or phrase: make realize
I just saw a funny greeting card:

http://www.someecards.com/usercards/viewcard/MjAxMi1iZjlhMjI...

"It's people like you that make realize how much I hate people like you."

I'm wondering though if it's grammatically correct. Is it really good English to say "make realize" without an explicit object?

Thanks for your help.
