These terms are meant for Wind Farms that generate electricity through windmills and their location. In some cases the wind mills are erected on the land away from the sea shore as the wind from the land towards the sea may be more powerful to rotate the blades. Hence they are offshore farms or farms adjacent to land or far from edge of the sea. |
