Science - Biology (-tech,-chem,micro-)

"the living/livingthings/life as we know it"??

TIA for your input

English translation:satisfies the criteria of life
Explanation:
The chemoton is an autocatalytic chemical supersystem that satisfies the criteria of life. It consists of three autocatalytic subsystems: a metabolic subsystem (self-reproducing chemical cycle), an informational subsystem (template polymerization cycle) and a boundary subsystem surrounding the former two (membrane). The chemical reactions of the three subsystems are coupled stoichiometrically, which coordinates the growth and division of the cell thus helping the system to be autocatalytic as a whole.

I wouldn't think quotation marks would be necessary if it's for a scientific community.

Notes to answerer
Asker: perhaps "criteria for life", with the quotation marks doing some of the work??
