(1) Obiectivul fermentării anaerobe este reducerea agenţilor patogeni, a cantităţii de biomasă prin distrugerea parţială a materiilor volatile şi producerea de biogaz.

(2) Fermentarea anaerobă se desfăşoară pe bază de reacţii chimice şi biochimice complexe.

(3) În schema din figura 9.19 se indică procesele fermentării anaerobe."

Termenul apare în rubrica "Substanţe organice complexe", împreună cu carbohidraţi, proteine, lipide.
