Hallo liebe Kollegen,

ich beschäftige mich gerade mit einem Text über die Erdung. Im Kapitel "Zweck" steht:

"The purpose of earthing is to enable a system or equipment to be disconnected from the source of energy so as to avoid the effects of excessive currents produced under earth fault conditions."

Also

Die Erdung dient dazu, ein System oder eine Anlage von der Stromquelle zu trennen, um somit die Auswirkungen zu hoher Stromstärken ... zu vermeiden.

Mit diesem "produced under earth fault conditions" komme ich irgendwie nicht zurecht. Ist der Ausgangssatz grammatisch richtig? Ich danke Euch im Voraus!!

Der Ausgangssatz scheint mir nicht zu beanstanden. Bei Erdschluss (earth fault) entstehen starke Ströme.

Wieso "produced by"? "Produced under xxx conditions" ist m.E. eine völlig gängige Formulierung. Nicht zuviel drüber nachdenken, wenn Du Dir den Satz morgen nochmal anguckst, fällt Dir wahrscheinlich gar nichts mehr auf ;-)

Asker: Danke efreitag! In dem Fall müsste jedoch stehen "produced by". Das hat mich wohl etwas verwirrt...
