Copying a Project into Another

Engineering Base offers a high-performance way to copy the content of the Equipment, Functions, and Documents folders of a source project into a folder below the Copy Bin in the respective folders of a target project. Internal associations remain intact under the copying process.

There are two exceptions to the above rule: The members of the Automatic Wires folder of the source project are directly copied into the Automatic Wires folder of the target project, and the Copy Bin folders of the source project are not copied, only their aggregated content is transferred.

The functionality can be used, to aggregate the content of the Equipment, Functions, and Documents folders of any number of source projects each below the respective Copy Bin of the target project.

To copy the project using the left mouse button

Select the project you want to copy with left mouse button.

Drag the project with left mouse button pressed to the target project.

Release the left mouse button.

The content of the Equipment, Functions, and Documents folders of the source project is copied into a folder named - - below the respective Copy Bin folders of the target project.



To copy the project using the right mouse button

Select the project you want to copy with right mouse button.

Drag the project with right mouse button pressed to the target project.

Release the right mouse button.

In the shortcut menu, select Copy Project Data.

The content of the Equipment, Functions, and Documents folders of the source project is copied into a folder named - - below the respective Copy Bin folders of the target project.

Дело в том, при создании целевого проекта можно скопировать различные папки с их содержимом. Но есть два исключения: первое сейчас неактуально, а вот второе - там копируется не полное содержимое (так понимаю. это связано с исполнительными или библиотеками), а только укрупненные ссылки на них.
