neutral  Natalie: А есть ли хоть какое-то доказательство, что их называют тактовыми? / Но ведь шаговые пипетки не работают на этом принципе или, точнее, работают не совсем на этом принципе. Не знаю, я бы не рискнула предположить такой вариант

  -> Догадка основана на смысле слова *такт* - Часть рабочего цикла какого-н. механизма. То есть такт = импульс/шаг. Нашла тактовые машины для наполнения флаконов - по-видимому. тот же принцип действия.
