de-energise-to-trip philosophy filosofia de desenergização em caso de desativação Explanation: "trip" é a desativação do sistema em casos de falha. Aqui ficaria: filosofia de desenergização em caso de desativação Explicação: What is fail safe logic? These relay based logic solvers were almost invariably built using a “de-energise to trip” philosophy. A closed switch in the field, indicating the process variable was in the normal range, led to an energised coil in the output relay, or the coil of a 3 port solenoid valve. When the switch in the field opens, the output de-energises. The relay contacts open, causing power to be removed from a particular motor. Or else the air pressure that holds a spring loaded actuator in position is vented, allowing the spring to move the valve to the fail safe position (open for vents, closed for blocking service). Another characteristic of fail safe logic is that if someone breaks a circuit inadvertently during maintenance or testing, or the relay or solenoid coil fails to open or short-circuits, the plant would trip (most of the time). |
