square to (at right angles to) the gutter line Explanation: When using the term "square to" or "at a right angle to" the gutter line, the use of the word "dwarse" (transverse) would not be required IMO. The "fall" of this roof is 2cm per metre when taken square to or at a right angle to the gutter line - the gutter line is therefore, by definition, transverse to the roof pitch. |
