Glassine is a very thin and smooth paper that is air and water resistant.[citation needed] It is translucent unless dyes are added to color it or make it opaque. It is manufactured by supercalendering: after pressing and drying, the paper web is passed through a stack of alternating steel and fiber-covered rolls called a supercalender at the end of the paper machine such that the paper fibres flatten facing in the same direction.

Kontext:
Once completely dry, the card should be placed in the glassine envelope (to prevent direct contact of spot surface with desiccant pack), and then placed in the zipper sealed storage bag with 2-3 desiccant packs.

Myslím si, že je třeba překlad přizpůsobit cílové skupině. Pergamin je samozřejmě správně, ale odborník na testování krve pravděpodobně nebude vědět, jak takový pergamin vypadá, ale průsvitnou obálku identifikuje na první pohled. Pracovníka z papírenského průmyslu by to samozřejmě urazilo...

agree  rosim: pracovníka pap. průmyslu (průmyslu, ne skanzenové manufaktury!) by to myslím neurazilo, protože e pergaminu možná slyšel naposled na průmce a v praxi se vyjadřuje o papírech v technických perametrech
