Nach angelsächsischem Rechtsverständnis muss ein Vertrag Leistung und Gegenleistung enthalten, damit er gültg wird. Diese Gegenleistung heißt "consideration". Ich gehe davon aus, dass dies auch in diesem Kontext von Verbindlichekiten, Ansprüchen und Forderungen gemeint ist.
