This term appear in a testing procedure foe tire rubber, in the part that describes the operation of a control unit for a test:

"Sulla barra del menù selezionare Configure e poi 6 Choose Calibration Standard, si apre la finestra relativa, selezionare con il *fleg* gli STD scelti per la curva di calibrazione, nella parte destra selezionare con il *fleg* 1 o al massimo 2 temperature alle quali si vogliono costruire le curve."

I thought that it might be a typo for "flag", but "fleg" is used throughout. From the context, it seems to be the cursor, but I cannot find support for this.

Explanation:
It seems to me that this is the spelling of how Italians pronounce "flag"
There really isn't any other plausible explanation, that I can come up with. Perhaps someone more in the know will come up with a better answer. This appears very typical of IT tech writers, in my estimation.

Explanation:
Looks like it's talking about the mouse pointer... rarely do most people select using the cursor. Unless it's a keyboard only program.

This is just an alternative - it would be VERY USEFULL if we could actually see the program interface.
