ich sitze an einer Übersetzung vom Englischen ins Deutsche, das Original wurde aber auf Italienisch verfasst, deshalb hier mein Hilferuf an alle IT-DE Eisenbahnexperten: Sind "sostegni per le molle a balestra" Federaufnahmen (für Blattfedern)? Und ist "parasala" ein Achsgehäuse?

Interasse delle due sedi di uno stesso parasala: La distanza ni (i=n° del parasala) tra gli assi verticali delle sedi di ciascuna delle 4 coppie di sostegni per le molle a balestra è misurata per mezzo di un metro a nastro.

Without having a diagram, I cannot say for certain, but it looks as if they are talking about the 'spring hangers' (the spring anchorages) which is rather putting the cart before the horse, as the spring hangers support the springs, rather than the other way round. Then the springs 'support' (or carry) the axle-boxes.

Thanks for your help, Dave. I chose this language combination as I had the original Italian sentence in this case, and the English version was incomprehensible. But you're right, I was a little too enthusiastic about the number of rail experts here. From the context, "sostegni" is the plural of "sostegno" here, so this could be a spring support in English and therefore a "Federaufnahme" in German, but I wanted to check this with someone with technical knowledge. Do you think a "(spring) support for a leaf spring" is technically possible?
