When the xenograft tumors reached an average tumor volume of 150-300 mm3 (referred to as Day 0), the first and only dose of treatment was administered. This approach can address both repeated measurements and modest dropout rates due to non−treatment related removal of animals before the study end. Cubic regression splines were used to fit a non-linear profile to the time courses of log2 tumor volume at each dose level. These non-linear profiles were then related to dose within the mixed model
