English term or phrase: lady's-bells
We wandered back through the streets towards the inn and found ourselves in a part of the city where a patch of grass and a small stand of trees grew by the edge of a stream. The trees were all bare branches, of course, and with the brown grass I suppose it was bleak enough, but by the waterside sprouted lady's-bells, their silvery-white heads nodding among the bright green of their leaves, and here and there pale ground roses were just beginning to open, pink and palest yellow. It cheered me just to sit there in the weak afternoon sun before we went back to the inn.

Explanation:

Snowdrop – 'Our Lady's Bells'. Snowdrops flower at Candlemas (The Feast of the Presentation of Christ in the Temple, also known as The Purification of Saint Mary the Virgin), which falls on February 2nd

> Bellflower (Our Lady's bells)

(Cardamine pratensis),

Explanation:
The cuckoopint (Cardamine pratensis) is called Lady's Smock
because its silver-white blossoms are said to resemble little smocks
hung out to dry, and it flowers in Europe at Ladytide (March 25). It
is often called Our Lady's flower.

Cardamine pratensis L.

The spurred flower resembles a little dove and came to symbolize the Holy Spirit.
\' In England, doves were used to decorate the altar in during Whitsun Week, the week following Pentecost Sunday, as the faithful made a connection between the dove, the Holy Spirit, and Our Lady\'s Flower, the name they had given the columbine.

To this end, the following is a listing of the counties/vice counties with 2 or more Flowers of Our Lady prominently growing in each - listed by their present-day common names, followed by their old Mary-names.

Russian WildNature. Water Avens - Geum rivale
Water Avens (Geum rivale) is perennial grassy plant from Rose Family (Rosaceae) up to 80 cm height. A stem is straight, branching, pubescent. Near root leaves are large, long-petioled, pinnate; the middle ones have short petiole, three-separate, with stipules; the top ones are simple.
The blossoming plant is not loud, but is aristocratic-graceful. The single drooping wrapped flowers are located on the top of stems. The red-brown calyx covers pinkish-yellow petals with red veins densely. There are numerous yellow stamens inside a flower. This nectariferous plant blossoms at the end of spring — beginning of a summer. The fruit is assembled from with oneseed nuts with hook on the ends.
Water Avens habitates along coast of reservoirs and in other damp places, especially, where the subsoil waters lie close to a surface. It prefers shady places.

Explanation:
