metal (printing) plates Explanation: Simple. See refs. I do not believe "stencils" would be the right choice in this case. Reference: http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%93fset Reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Offset_printing |

stencils Explanation: El estarcido, también llamado esténcil ... es una técnica artística de decoración en que una plantilla con un dibujo recortado es usada para aplicar pintura, lanzándola a través de dicho recorte, obteniéndose un dibujo con esa forma. "Metal Stencils for crafts like painting, embossing, or decoration..." -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 6 hrs (2015-05-09 06:08:06 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- "Chapa" has many different meanings, and I think this is what the artist is referring to in this case. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 17 hrs (2015-05-09 17:20:13 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Charles may be right too; perhaps they mean that they worked (painted or whatever) on metal, that they used it as a support (instead of paper or canvas)... The wider context should tell which of the suggestions so far is the right one. Reference: http://www.craftcuts.com/metal-stencils.html |
