Thanks all! Although "warning" seems to be what's used in English, I think in this particular case, "warning" may have been too strong. In the letter it was pointed out that "en erinran är inte en disciplinär åtgärd". Thanks Deane for the link.

neutral  Christopher Schröder: Maybe it's just me, but I'd expect to receive a "warning" in English?

-> well, perhaps, but the following sentence says it is a reminder to clarify the employee's guilt. So perhaps it isn't that serious...

agree  George Hopkins: Possibly 'admonition' or 'disciplinary reminder'.

agree  Deane Goltermann: Here is a reference for this term...http://www.watson-training.com/blog2/46-discipline-with-puni... I think the Swe here wants to differentiate from 'Varning'.

disagree  Charlesp: A "Varning" is not a warning, it is a disciplinary measure. Stronger than a warning.

Explanation:
A negative notation.

Not a reminder, which is somewhat neutral.

A "Varning" is not a warning, it is a disciplinary measure. Stronger than a warning.

I suppose that admonition, or disciplinary reminder, could be used here.
