French term or phrase: débobiner
contesto: viti e dadi. Nel mio testo, débobiner è riferito alla filettatura di una vite difettosa, che a causa di un filetto che cede si "débobine".

Lorsqu'un filet de la vis cède et est déconnecté de cet écrou primaire 2, ce dernier se décale. Le filetage se débobine et s'arrache sur la longueur chargée de la vis.

Explanation:
Non sono certissima che sia quello che ti serve, comunque in genere si usa 'spanare' quando forzando la vite per via di qualche difetto del filetto della vite stessa o del dado o tassello in cui va avvitata si finisce per danneggiare il filetto della vite o quello del tassello/dado.
Ho sentito usare informalmente anche 'sfilettare' dato che esiste 'filettare' in meccanica, ma temo sia un uso improprio perché non ne ho mai trovato traccia in testi tecnici o online.

parlando del filetto qui usa " si avvolge", quindi puo' voler dire che non riesce a compiere il lavoro di avvolgimento.
forse potresti usare una perifrasi?

praticamente non si avvita, infatti per la mia misera esperienza la vite può girare a vuoto
