Допустим, что фраза принадлежит человеку, прослужившему в разведке, который при виде откровенной халтуры на экране таким образом резюмирует свое впечатление о картине. Мне кажется, не стоит заставлять его выражаться языком кинопремий и углубляться в анализ представлений американцев о нас. Одним словом, это просто туфта или ерунда, притянутая за уши на потребу толпе, как говорится. Другое дело, что если он человек культурный, то чтобы сбавить резкость интонации, я бы употребил crap, baloney или нейтральное rubbish, а может, даже и trash (для кино в самый раз).
