¿Sería "defence of their RECEIVABLES/ LOANS/ DEBTS..."?

Thanks a lot!

(BrE> E&W + Scots law) safeguarding (ring-fencing) of claims
Explanation:
as per Alvaro's narrative.

NB bankruptcy in Scotland is called sequestration. But the translation of this phrase speculatively stays the same. Well done to anyone who considered the point!

As the asker so elegantly points out, this is Castilian from Spain - see the web ref. - and may not be absorbable and digestible in Latin America.

Again crédito in bankruptcy terms is a claim or debt to be proven or already proven (proof of which lodged or submitted).

defense of creditor rights

Explanation:
The Spanish law "defensa de créditos", also termed "protección del derecho de crédito", corresponds to what in English is called "defense of creditor rights". If you take a look at a typical Spanish law school textbook on "Derecho de obligaciones" there is always a chapter dealing with "protección del derecho de crédito" that outlines all types of actions that creditors can bring to ensure that their debtors comply with their obligations. (My favorite is Carlos Lasarte, Principios de Derecho Civil II, Madrid: Marcial Pons, 2002. pp. 253 ff.--Chapter 13.)

credit / debt recovery - debt collection services

Explanation:

http://www.pastduecredit.co.uk
http://www.veritaslegal.co.uk
http://www.amril.co.uk

Example sentence(s):

neutral  Robert Carter: Hi Ana. Wouldn't this be more in line with "servicios de cobranza", rather than what I see more broadly as legal actions designed to protect the client's claims against the debtor? After all, this is about a law firm.
