customer order manager... unless you want to avoid the term 'manager' and use something modern and less 'bossy'. So sure, coordinator works too. But, I'd say that is an on-site choice we can't really make as translator. 'Manager' is widely understood but you still have to define 'coordinator.'

I've now been able to receive some feedback from the consultants/agency based in the UK contracted to recruit outside the Nordic region and, according to them at least, the correct title for this position is Customer Order Co-ordinator. That doesn't make Customer Order Manager incorrect, but the wide scope of the position combined with the fact that its immediate superior is the MD mean Co-ordinator is more appropriate. That's probably because there is no Customer Order Manager. Well that's what I've been told.

The role in case is commercially/sales (as opposed to technically) oriented. In addition to responsibilities such as maintaining and solving problems with the customer order flow, the holder of the position can delegate order assignments to colleagues and is also responsible for transforming customer needs into product/production requirements. So this is more senior than a clerk or an account manager.
