Social Sciences - Food & Drink
English term or phrase: Refreshments
The word is the heading of the beverages's section of a restaurant menu. The section includes hot and cold drinks, and the restaurant is based in Switzerland. Some colleagues suggested the translation مرطبات and I liked it, but in Egypt, we do not really call hot and cold drinks مرطبات, that word is more for cold drinks. Do you think the use of this word to call hot and cold drinks is common in the rest of the Arab countries? If so, I can just use it. What do you think? The other variety is مشروبات. I only don't want to dismiss مرطبات, which could reflect the word refreshments better, just because it's not used the same way in Egypt.

من الممكن استخدام الكلمتين للتعبير عن المرطبات الباردة والمشروبات الساخنة ... مع العلم أنّ استخدام المرطبات فقط يغني عن ذلك ... فلا مشكلة
