(To) be members of / Membership of the bodies established by law Explanation: The key word here is "integrar", which was wrongly translated as "pay contributions" in the previous question we had: http://www.proz.com/kudoz/spanish_to_english/law_general/162... Its meaning here must be: "Formar parte de un conjunto: “Los diputados obreros integraron la comisión”" Diccionario del español de México http://dem.colmex.mx/moduls/BuscadorAvanzado.aspx So it means that the workers, or rather their representatives, are obliged to be members of the statutory works committees etc.: they have to have representatives on those bodies. This is in the Ley Federal del Trabajo, art. 134.IX, among the "obligaciones de los trabajadores" http://www.diputados.gob.mx/LeyesBiblio/pdf/125_120615.pdf The most natural way to express it, to me, is with a noun, "Membership of", but since all the other workers' obligations are expressed with verbs you may have to use one here: "Be members of" or perhaps "Form part of". Although "Organismos" is capitalised, I wouldn't capitalise "bodies". |
