Mineral wool denotes a bonded non-woven
mineral fibre network, which is obtained by centrifugal
spinning of a melt stream, and inclusion of a curable binder
and preferably a coupling agent to form a web of fibres;
the web of fibres is thereafter cured to form the bonded
non-woven mineral fibre network. The mineral wool may
contain "shots" obtained during spinning with a cascade
spinner or none, or virtually none, when the mineral wool
is obtained with e.g. a cup spinner.
