Estoy traduciendo un expediente farmacéutico de unos comprimidos / tabletas proveniente de la India. En la sección del método de fabricación o manufactura dice:

"4. GRANULATION:-

Add paste in to RMG which contains the dry mixed ingredients for binding.
Start RMG and Bind the dry mixed materials and **make lump mass**.
After lump mass is prepared discharge the weight mass through discharge point into FBD bowl and go for next stage."

Explanation:
No estoy seguro de que se forme exactamente una "pelota".
Creo que más bien es una masa "amorfa".
Como alternativa, creo que "masa inicial" también podría funcionar en este caso,
si luego dicha masa inicial o total se fracciona para la fabricación de los diferentes lotes.
