acreage rake with 4 tine reels Explanation: Exhibit 1: https://www.nortezac.com/rastrillos-agricolas/ http://www.ribot.es/rastrillo-de-soles/ http://www.agricolalalueza.com/Maquinaria-Agricola-ocasion-s... Exhibit 2: https://www.amazon.com/Yard-Tuff-48-Acreage-Rake/dp/B007U4QJ... https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200660206_20... (this one wants to know whether you're a robot) https://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/yard-tuff-48-w... "Soles" evidently describes their round shape. All the "rastrillos" of this kind I've found in English are called "acreage rakes" rather than just "rakes". |

wheel rake with 4 star-wheels Explanation: According to Wikipedia (see link below) & some other research, I found a generic term "hay rake", of which the wheel rake or star-wheel rake is a relatively recent variant. I first looked at Charles's first link under Exhibit 1, https://www.nortezac.com/rastrillos-agricolas/, & found there a "Rastrillo de 4 soles", with a couple of photos. Looking for an English equivalent, I found the Wikipedia article at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hay_rake, which includes a photo of an implement apparently of the exact same type, except for the number of wheels, which is captioned "A tractor with a 10-wheeled star-wheel rake forms a windrow; Wisconsin, USA." Possibly a difference between UK & US usage? |
