Mi sembra che le due occorrenze andrebbero tradotte diversamente.
Nel primo caso direi "necessario" in quanto senza quel numero non si possono effettuare i "sell-out movements".
Nel secondo caso, più in basso, mi pare si possa parlare di PIN/CODICE che abilita ad effettuare operazioni quali "inserimento, aggiornamento ed eliminazione".
