French term or phrase: la continence ligamentaire postérieure
Hello,

This is an unusual one and I cannot think what it means - I don't know what ligament they are talking about, and does this involve urinary continence, or does 'continence' have another meaning here?

Fracture intéressant le corps vertébral de T11 et le plateau supérieure de T12 sur un rachis ankylosé
Un complément d'imagerie est à discuter pour vérifier la continence ligamentaire postérieure.
Foie dysmorphique.
Hypotrophie rénale.

English translation:integrity of posterior ligamentous structures
Explanation:
As the text is not specific, it may refer to all ligamentous structures posterior to the vertebral body.

These are:
the posterior longitudinal ligament - this is attached to the posterior surfaces of vertebral bodies and runs down the whole length oàf the spine. It may be directly affected by vertebral body fracture.

the posterior ligamentous complex. This comprises four small ligaments that run between each adjacent pair of vertebrae.

Or you could name them ie integrity of the posterior longitudinal ligament and posterior ligamentous complex>. However as the text isn't that specific perhaps a more general rendition is better.

with regard to the posterior ligamentous complex, three of the ligaments are paired, ie right and left, there is only one supraspinous ligament in the median plane.
