Scrivendo "regole di diritto e norme legislative" credo che offriresti una versione sufficientemente precisa ed esauriente a chi deve leggere e interpretare il contratto. La distinzione iniziale che hai posto mi sembra corretta. Per quanto riguarda la scelta dei traducenti, ti segnalo che secondo il dizionario De Franchis con "statutory provisions" si intendono, nei sistemi giuridici di common law, le disposizioni contenute in "leggi scritte", vale a dire in atti legislativi emanati dal Parlamento o da altri organi, indirettamente legittimati a legiferare dall'autorità del Parlamento. Con "legal rules" o "provisions" si intendono invece le regole giurisprudenziali di diritto che, in base ai principi della gerarchia delle fonti propri dei sistemi anglosassoni, hanno un potere vincolante ancora maggiore rispetto alle leggi scritte.
