Hi colleagues,

I am working on a translation of a Resident Physician logbook in Portuguese, and there are many names of procedures, one of them is this:
"Uretroplastia (ressecção de corda)". I need to translate this into American English.

I am in doubt about "ressecção de corda". I know "ressecção" means "removal/cutting", but I can't find the meaning of "corda". Every time the physician performed this surgery, it was on a male's patient, I think this information might be of help.

I've just came across this text: https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/veterinary-science-and-... Could it be simply cord? Or testicular cord/spermatic cord?
