There wasn't enough space in the evaluation field to note that occasionally "bridging module" could mean something else:
"The purpose of this module is to enable students to explore connections between Computer Science and another discipline. Often, the other discipline is the subject area studied in the first degree, although this is not necessarily the case."
https://www.cs.ubc.ca/students/undergrad/degree-programs/bcs...But generally I think it's a good match:
"This module is designed for students who have transferred from a 22.5-credit programme structure to an updated 30-credit structure and whose accumulated credits leave them short of the 180 credits required to complete their Master's programme."
https://www.cefims.ac.uk/modules/M491/"If you are not confident with basic accounting concepts, this subject includes an optional short intensive bridging module on the fundamentals of accounting."
