OK, I see the problem there with kSEK at least expanding in English, but surely formatting issues like that should be the layout people’s problem when they DTP it, not yours. I would still avoid like the plague in running text...

I don't think you made any enemies. I don't like MSEK, KSEK or TSEK personally either, but sometimes, especially in charts, I need to bite the bullet and use them in translation. In the running text, however, I do if at all possible rewrite it as "SEK 14 million" or even "14 million Swedish crowns", as appropriate.

Not sure which enemy you have made today but I often use the "abominations" TSEK and MSEK and had to justify this recently to a client over SEK 14M etc.
One of the reasons I gave is that these strings often appear in Excel sheets or Word tables and have the annoying habit of overflowing in their cells if the target text is even one character longer than the source text , let alone 2+ characters

I can deal with this overflow problem in Excel at least using TransTools + but not all companies even notice the problem when they reproduce the final text themselves in their CAT tool.

In for a penny, in for a pound, seeing as I’ve probably already made an enemy today. MSEK is an abomination that should be avoided at all costs. It is not a convention used in English. SEK 14m or million or 14 million kronor or even SKr 14m. But tSEK, kSEK and MSEK? No no no!!!

I too would agree with this as:

Contingent consideration is an obligation of the acquiring entity to transfer additional assets or equity interests to the former owners of an acquiree. The amount of this consideration can be significant, depending on the subsequent performance of the acquiree.

The terms under which this consideration will be calculated and paid is part of the acquisition agreement. The consideration will only be paid if specified future events occur or conditions are met. The amount of contingent consideration paid is recorded at its fair value in the accounting records of the acquiring entity.
