order that has been sent for filling internally Explanation: To me "released" sounds like the customer made the order, paid for it, and it was released into (sent to) internal departments for manufacturing or packing. I think that's the general idea. For example, where I used to work, the Production Control dept. received orders via EDI, then "released" them to the floor (plant floor) for manufacturing. |
