Es wird nicht verkennt, dass es Konflikte im Zusammenwachsen gibt. Konflikte und Ängste haben aber nicht zwangsläufig immer einen kulturellen Hintergrund. Unter Vermeidung von Zuschreibungen gilt es, konstruktive Lösungen unter zu Hilfenahme von z.B. Stadtteilmoderator/innen oder durch die Methode der interkulturellen Mediation anzustreben.

The use of "...moderator" would sound very strange to me here. For me, something like "...community leaders" or "...community workers" would seem to be what I would feel comfortable with.

Any "zweite Meinungen"???

agree  writeaway: if it's only between individuals, then mediators sounds right (umpires only if they swing baseball bats at each other ;-) )
