Aanleiding voor deze definitiestudie is de integratie van de Axent portefeuille in KISS. De definitiestudie Functionaliteit concentreert zich op de consequenties voor de bestaande KISS functionaliteit. De bestaande functionaliteit moet zo veel mogelijk behouden blijven om de huidige 560.000 contracten binnen KISS te kunnen administreren, het is echter noodzakelijk om aanvullende functionaliteit te realiseren of bestaande functies uit te breiden zodat ook de 110.000 Axent-contracten ondersteund worden binnen KISS.
