English term or phrase: blade binding
The word "binding" is used many times in the electric saw manual, e.g.:
- Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts
- cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind
- When blade is binding, release the trigger and hold the saw motionless

What is "blade binding"? is it stalled? or twisted?

blade getting stuck in the wood
Explanation:
In the first instance, "check for misalignment or binding of moving parts" the reference is to parts within the power saw that rub against each other and hamper free movement.

In the other instances:
- cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind
- When blade is binding, release the trigger and hold the saw motionless

the reference is to the blade of the saw as it cuts through wood. A saw blade can bind because of the moisture in the wood. When you cut through wood with a high moisture content, the wood will shrink and push up against the blade, which then won't turn or cut.
