duration Explanation: There are many mistakes in the parts you quoted and this is not because you transcribed in wrongly but because they were originally written wrongly. For example, saying "pike kredituese" is wrong. And I know that those from Kosovo usually make these mistakes (have translated for them more than 1 million words). I would go with the EU version without any doubt. The term "period" there is simply irrelevant because right after that, separated by a slash, they have provided the correct term i.e. trimester, semester, etc. ECTS pikët kredituese is obviously wrong. It should have been written as "Kredite sipas ECTS-së". As for the translator's note, I do not think it is necessary in this case because the term "duration" clearly gives the meaning of "periudhë" which is synonymous to "kohëzgjatje". I hope this helps. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 13 mins (2018-02-11 16:09:41 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I think it has to be trimester. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 21 mins (2018-02-11 16:17:35 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I took a look at one of the transcript of records I had to translate. Here is what it reads regarding part 2) 1T - 1 periudhe/ tre semestra 2T = 2 periudha/tremestra Apparently they meant "tremestra" when giving the definition of 1T. If you read item 6 of your text, it becomes a bit clearer: 1 periudhe/tremester Item 1 of that text refers you to the ECTS Information Package which means that the terms have the meaning provided in that document. So "periudhe" means "trimester". -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 53 mins (2018-02-11 16:48:46 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Last note: See on page 29 This must clarify all doubts regarding this matter. http://www.academia.edu/13845470/ECTS_at_the_University_of_P... |
