Arabic term or phrase: شارل دي لودي
This is the name of an Orientalist scholar who wrote about the Prophet, apparently, but it may be misspelled, because I'm not finding anything while googling 'Orientalist' along with 'Charles' or 'Lodi', etc.

ويعلل المطعني موقفه هذا بالقول إن بعض هؤلاء المستشرقين قال "فرية أو خرافة أن محمد (صلى الله عليه وسلم) هو الذي اخترع القرآن في غار حراء دفعة واحدة عندما كان يتعبد فيه قبل الرسالة، ومن بينهم ماكسيم رودنسونMaxime Rodinson اليهودي الأصل، وشارل دي لودي الذي علل قيامه بذلك إلى أنه استولى- بحسب زعمه- على أموال خديجة وماشيتها وأن الرومان فضحوه، فلجأ إلى ذلك ليدفع عن نفسه التهمة
